I imagined this place would be less crowded, but there are lots of people here. Banff attracts visitors from all over the world. We camped in Johnston Canyon, which was lovely but quite cold at night. Luckily, we could have a nice fire.
Early this morning, Terry and I hiked Johnston Canyon (with about 500 others). Most people opted to hike the lower falls, so it was less crowded getting to the upper falls.
The natural beauty of this place is unforgettable. I have always wanted to come to this park. Who cares if it’s in the 40’s and starting to snow?
After this hike, we left PeeWee in the parking lot and we grabbed the Toad and headed to Lake Louise. I knew the weather wasn’t ideal, but there’s no time like the present, right?
Lake Louise did not disappoint. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
Did I mention it is amazing?
Like jaw dropping?
It’s obvious that Terry indulged me with the selfie.
The Irish Coffee hit the spot at this FANCY hotel!!
And speaking of hotels, we splurged on a hotel for two nights in Banff. 34 years together is something to celebrate. And I’m in the mood to celebrate. With a hot shower. Haven’t had one in 3 days. Eeeewwwww.
Terry wants to post something on his own, so he’s in control (temporarily). 😬
