After an overnight stay in Moyie Provincial Campground, we got on the road and headed toward Canada highway 3, otherwise known as Crowsnest Highway. The Drive was really beautiful. Trees are beginning to change colors, and the mountains are snowcapped. Here is a shot of Moyie Lake, right by our campsite.
After almost 200 miles, we have arrived in Kettle Falls, Washington. Crossing the border into the states was not fun. We got searched and when the officer opened our refrigerator, the shelf collapsed and stuff went flying. I think he felt like a dope. And they took my two live plants! They said if I couldn’t prove that the plants originally came from the states, they had to be confiscated! Seriously, plants?? Ugh! Luckily, the search ended and away we went. It made for some good conversation along the way.
All is well that ends well, and I’m grateful for this peaceful and gentle day.
