I’m in love with this place!! The drive from Kettle Falls to Winthrop was gorgeous. Trees are changing from green to yellows, orange and brilliant red. We passed apple orchards and vineyards.
We are staying in a campground called Pearrygin State Park. We are surrounded by hills and mountains and a beautiful lake.
Terry was fishing early this morning, but no luck. Still, a peach of a morning.
Our afternoon was spent with a hike in the Cascades to Cutthroat Lake. The beauty of this mountain range reminds me of the Front Range of my beloved Rockies. We hiked about 2 miles in to this pristine alpine lake.
Today was one of those days that makes you feel so alive. Also, so grateful for love, life, and nature.
Now, Terry and I are in a bar watching our Cubs clinch the division. Terry thinks I’m crazy for worrying about the jinx.
